Project Closeout Checklist
Agree with the builder which documents are required for this project. These are organizational prompts, not a universal list of legal requirements.
- Approved drawings, specifications and documented changes from the responsible design professional.
- Manufacturer’s product data, installation instructions and applicable evaluation documents.
- Installation record by area, dated and signed by the installer.
- Installation photographs and product or batch records where required by the project.
- Inspection records, outstanding items and responsibility for completing them.
- Warranty documentation and product-specific occupancy or re-entry instructions.
Product Documents
Use the exact product name and document revision in the record. Keep the manufacturer’s R-value table for the installed thickness with the handover package. This page records document references; it does not upload or verify attachments.
Energy Certificate Resources
An installation record is not the same as a whole-building energy certificate. Ask the architect, builder or local building department which forms apply and who must complete them.
